FAQ
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Not only do we offer longer Half and Full-Day tours than any other charter in Cabo, we also provide more amenities for a cheaper price. Other charters will make you pay extra for things such as fishing licenses, bait, and food/beverages. We think that is crazy! So, we included everything for you for just one price.
El Wahoo King also guarantees to give you the best boat, the best equipment, and the best fish. We have invested tremendously in the luxury and structural integrity of our Cabo 35-boat to make you feel as comfortable as possible when you are out on the water. We also provide customized, high-quality fishing rods with heavy-weight lines to catch the best and largest fish.
Aside from our more inclusive packages and affordable prices, our crew is also more experienced and laid back. El Wahoo King isn't derived from a corporation that has a mass amount of employees they can quickly turn over. This charter has been developed just by two guys who share a passion for fishing and want to create similar memorable experiences for others.
The full-day fishing tour is an average of 9 hours. A normal trip is from 6 AM - 3 PM. However, if you need to adjust the start and/or end time, please don't hesitate to reach out and the captain will be as flexible as possible to accommodate your needs. We just ask for courtesy purposes that you make those arrangements before your reservation so the captain can plan for it.
The half-day fishing tour is between 4 and 5 hours. There are two time slots available: 6 AM - 11 AM and 12 PM - 5 PM. If you need to adjust the start and/or end time, please don't hesitate to reach out and the captain will be as flexible as possible to accommodate your needs. We just ask for courtesy purposes that you make those arrangements before your reservation so the captain can plan for it.
Although the same amenities are included in both packages, the Full Day fishing tour is typically more recommended to increase your odds of catching fish. However, there are various other factors to consider when deciding which tour to book.
A couple of things to keep in mind are the weather forecast and how long it takes to get to the fishing grounds. It can take a couple of hours just to get to the fishing grounds, leaving little time to actually fish if you do the half-day tour.
The fishing season and desired fishing target also play a factor. If you want to catch bigger fish such as Swordfish, Marlin, Tuna, or Wahoos, the captain will need to go further out from shore which will take away from your fishing time. But ultimately this is YOUR trip and we want it to be as memorable for you as possible. It is up to you if you want to stay close to shore and possibly catch a larger number of smaller fish, or if you want to go far out with less time to try and catch maybe only one bigger fish.
Of course, if you are only in Cabo for a short time, have other activities planned for the second half of your day, or it is the off-season for the fish you want to catch but still want to try your luck, the half-day fishing option would be a better choice.
Absolutely not! We understand each person is different and that being out on the water in the direct sun can be physically laboring. If you get tired, feel seasick, or just want to end the trip early for any reason, please let the captain know and we will get you back to dry land.
If you are booking your reservation months in advance, it can be difficult to predict what the weather may be like. Don't worry, we got you covered!
In an instance where there is unfavorable or too dangerous of weather to be on the water, we will work with you to reschedule your tour. If you are in Cabo for only a couple of days and can't find another time that would work to reschedule, we will be more than happy to give you your money back.
